Dwight Weir has dedicated 25 years to education, serving at every level and in various capacities, shaping the future of countless students and educators. His journey has seen him as a pivotal leader on four senior leadership teams across the UK and Qatar, including roles as Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, and Headteacher. Each role has been a step in his mission to elevate teaching, empower leaders, and inspire positive change in schools.
Now, as the Executive Director of TRaC Education, Dwight leads a dynamic training, recruitment, coaching, and consultancy company. Drawing on his extensive experience both locally and internationally, he provides leadership training and consultancy to British schools in the Middle East. His work as an Inspector for British Schools Overseas and as a qualified Leadership Coach and Resilient Leaders Consultant further highlights his commitment to excellence in education. He is passionate about helping leaders achieve their best, focusing on leadership development, career progression, and achieving balance in all areas of life.
In addition to his consultancy work, Dwight plays a key role in developing future leaders by delivering the Specialist NPQ course through Best Practice Network and mentoring Initial Teacher Trainees. His passion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) fuels his writing and leadership philosophy, as he advocates for more inclusive leadership in education.
Dwight has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and the National Professional Qualification for Headship, Dwight continues to inspire and shape the next generation of educational leaders, helping them create a lasting, inclusive impact in their communities.
